Siddhant Kant
Siddhant is a Partner in the Firm’s Dispute Resolution practice with more than 10 years of experience. At the Firm, he has been working very closely on matters pertaining to Insolvency, Bankruptcy and Restructuring, General Corporate Laws and related litigations.
He has been regularly appearing before various judicial forums including the Supreme Court of India, High Courts across the country as well as various specialised Insolvency and Bankruptcy tribunals including National Company Law Tribunal; National Company Law Appellate Tribunal; Debts Recovery Appellate Tribunal, and the Debts Recovery Tribunal etc.
In addition to regular court appearances, Siddhant has also been involved in advisory work especially in relation to Insolvency and Bankruptcy Laws, General Corporate Laws and Economic Offences. He has been involved in the Firm’s insolvency and bankruptcy practice since its enactment in December 2016.
Siddhant has been involved in 5 out of the 12 largest non-performing asset (“NPA”) accounts referred for the insolvency resolution process under the Code by the central bank – Reserve Bank of India. Some of the significant matters he has been working on are for and on behalf of the Committee of Creditors in Essar Steel Limited, Bhushan Steel Limited; Resolution Professional in Bhushan Power and Steel Limited; Rajputana Properties Private Limited, in its capacity as resolution Applicant, for Binani Cements Limited amongst others. He has also advised on the insolvency resolution process of Amtek Auto Limited and the insolvency resolution process of Monnet Ispat & Energy Limited.
Siddhant also often contributes to renowned publications including Asia Business Law Journal.

- Representing and advising Committee of Creditors (CoC) in the corporate insolvency process initiated against Essar Steel Limited.
- Representing and advising CoC in the corporate insolvency process initiated against Bhushan Steel Limited and Amtek Auto Limited.
- Representing and advising the Resolution Professional in corporate insolvency resolution process for Bhushan Steel and Power Limited. The role includes assisting the Resolution Professional in the corporate insolvency resolution process as well as court appearances before the National Company Law Tribunal and the Appellate Tribunal.
- Representing and advising Rajputana Properties Private Limited, in its capacity as resolution Applicant, for Binani Cements Limited. The proceedings involve representation and advise to the client in fast paced complex litigation before the National Company Law Tribunal, National Company Law Appellate Tribunal as well as the Supreme Court of India.

- Representing and advising Edelweiss Asset Reconstruction Company Limited in the proceedings initiated towards recovery of debt from GTL Infrastructure Limited including before the National Company Law Tribunal, the Debts Recovery Tribunal, various High Courts and the Supreme Court of India.
- Representing and advising Prudential International Insurance Holdings Limited in the corporate insolvency resolution process of Dewan Housing Finance Corporation Limited for the protection of its rights under the resolution plan with respect to its joint venture with Dewan Housing Finance Corporation Limited.
