Mrinal began his career with the erstwhile Amarchand & Mangaldas & Suresh A. Shroff. & Co. (New Delhi) and has also previously worked with Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas.
His practice focuses on infrastructure, energy, natural resources and transport sectors, including airports and civil aviation, renewable energy, conventional power, rail transit systems, oil and gas, ports and shipping, urban infrastructure (including hotels and hospitals), logistics, as well as on-road public transport (including electric vehicles). Additionally, Mrinal has advised clients engaged in, inter alia, steel, FMCG, information technology, financial, healthcare and real estate sectors.
He has advised clients on several large scale and first of its kind (in India) public private partnership (“PPP”) projects, project contracts (including EPC and O&M contracts), government contracts (including concession agreements), public procurement processes and commercial contracts. Further, Mrinal has advised government and public sector clients on policy matters as well. Additionally, he has rich experience in mergers & acquisitions, private equity investments and project finance. Also, he has exposure to working on large scale insolvency and bankruptcy matters in the infrastructure and energy sectors.

Some of Mrinal’s major clients include the Government of India, International Finance Corporation (World Bank Group), Tata Motors Limited, GMR Group (including Delhi International Airport Limited), National Investment and Infrastructure Fund (India’s sovereign wealth fund), Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co., Brookfield Asset Management, Zürich Airport International AG (and its Indian subsidiary, Yamuna International Airport Private Limited), Wipro Limited, Invenire Energy etc.
