Manan specializes in mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, private equity and corporate advisory, both in the listed and unlisted space and has represented several MNCs, corporates, investment and commercial banks, private equity funds, sovereign wealth funds, multilateral agencies and strategic corporate clients on a variety of domestic and cross-border transactions.
He regularly advises on corporate and complex commercial litigation matters. He has also advised several resolution applicants for acquisitions in the insolvency and bankruptcy space and has completed several successful resolution plans, some of which were the first in the country under the insolvency regime.
He has also advised several clients on capital market issuances, both debt and equity. He has advised several payment system providers for setting up payment systems in India and launching complex financial products.

- Advised the Proximus Group, Belgium, to acquire a significant controlling stake in Route Mobile Limited and a follow-on investment by the promoters of Route Mobile Limited into Proximus Opal, Belgium.
- Advised the Greenko Group and Belgium’s John Cockerill Group to set up a joint venture for setting up two alkaline electrolyser factories of a gigawatt each in India for manufacturing low-cost hydrogen for industrial users.
- Advised the Tata Group on the INR 4,000 cr investment in Tata Power Renewables, which is engaged in production of renewable energy in India and overseas, in two equal tranches of INR 2,000 crore each by the Blackrock Real Assets led consortium, including Mubadala Investment Company.
