Hemant is a Partner in the firm’s Technology and Corporate M&A practice group based in Bengaluru. He advises an array of core-technology and technology-adjacent businesses including e-commerce, fintech, AI, data privacy, digital assets, and SaaS companies on a wide spectrum of corporate and technology transactions and advisory matters.

Technology Transactions: He frequently advises on technology transactions such as technical collaborations, strategic alliances, research and development (R&D) arrangements, tech-focused M&A, software development, API Integration agreements, technology outsourcing arrangements, “as-a-service” agreements, assignments and licensing.

Technology Advisory: His advisory practice covers matters related to e-commerce regulation, fintech regulation, data privacy, artificial intelligence, cyber-security, digital assets and blockchain.

Corporate Transactions: He has acted for buy-side and sell-side clients in early-to-late-stage fund-raising and investment transactions, mergers, and acquisitions. His transactional experience spans domestic and cross-border transactions involving listed as well as unlisted companies.

• Advising a leading American EV player known for its advanced powertrain technology on its technology collaboration and strategic alliance with one of the world’s largest manufacturers of two-wheelers based in India.
• Advising on one of the largest mergers in the telecommunications space in India that led to a combined entity valued at more than USD 2 billion.
• Advising the India arm of a Fortune 500 company on its acquisition of a manufacturer of gearboxes and gear-operators on a slump-sale basis.
• Acting for the promoters of an Indian health-tech company in relation to the buyout of the company by a leading global healthcare platform player.
