In a case between by Shree Nath Sharma v. Union of India & Ors in NGT has issued various directions pertaining to the authorities for preparing and updating environmental action plans regarding air, water and land at state and national levels. The district plans must cover all relevant data, identified gaps in compliance and a remedial action plan. The implementation of these plans must be finalised by 31 January of every year.
