As we reported last month, given concerns about the safety of physical hearings during the COVID-19 outbreak, the Competition Commission of India (CCI) introduced virtual hearings. It published a Standard Operating Procedure together with a set of General Instructions. Numbers attending these hearings are limited and participants have to undertake to maintain the in camera nature of CCI proceedings, not inappropriately to share access links, not to make recordings and to ensure that unauthorised persons will not be present.
