Emerging opportunities in insolvency and food sectors; practical aspects of M&A in India

Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Co and Mori Hamada & Matsumoto with support from the Embassy of India, Tokyo jointly organised a seminar at the Embassy of India in Tokyo. The seminar saw participation from senior government officials including H.E. Mr Sanjay Kumar Verma, Ambassador of India to Japan; Mr Raj Kumar Srivastava, Deputy Chief of Mission; Ms Naoka Udagawa, Deputy Director for South Asia and Oceania, The Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries and senior representatives from the corporate world.
Our Executive Chairman, Mr. Shardul Shroff delivered a session on ‘Insolvency Regime in India and M&A opportunities in insolvency space’ and Mr. Rudra Kumar Pandey, Partner with our General Corporate Practice discussed the aspects related to the regulatory framework for the food processing sector in India.
