EPFO extends due date for payment of contributions for March 2020 to 15 May 2020
April 15, 2020The Employees’ Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) has extended the due date for payment of contributions as well as administrative/ inspection charges for the month of March 2020 to 15 May 2020. This 30 day grace period, from 16 April 2020 to 15 May 2020, has been allowed to establishments that have disbursed wages for the month of March for filing Electronic Challan cum Return (ECR).
Employers are required to duly certify the disbursement of wages to employees by declaring the actual date of disbursement for March 2020 in the column titled ‘Salary disbursal date’ on or before 15 May 2020 and remit the contributions and administrative/ inspection charges.
