Yogesh has been recognised as “notable practitioner” under the category “Capital Markets, Structured Finance and Securitisation, M&A” by IFLR1000 Asia Pacific.
Yogesh has in past worked with the National Stock Exchange (investigation & listing), and investment banks like ICICI Securities, Centrum Capital and Ambit Corporate Finance in the equity capital markets team (ECM – Execution), and legal & compliance. He has also advised on various public takeovers, delistings, company buybacks, initial public offerings and private fund raising programs by listed companies. Over the years, he has gained extensive experience in structuring transactions involving listed companies / intermediaries / market infrastructure institutions and has handled wide variety of transactional matters also from an operational perspective.
Yogesh regularly defends listed companies, intermediaries and market infrastructure institutions in variety of litigations at different stages in securities market. Yogesh, in the past has also appeared before the Securities Appellate Tribunal representing SEBI.
Yogesh is a member of the Bar Council of Maharashtra & Goa and a qualified Company Secretary (ICSI).
Apart from being a commerce and accounts graduate, Yogesh is a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) from Government Law College, Mumbai (1999); Company Secretary (1999), Master of Laws (LL.M.) from Mumbai University (specialisation in Commercial Laws), and has also passed Chartered Accountancy exam (Intermediate Level).
Before joining the Firm, Yogesh has worked as an Associate Partner with Economic Laws Practice, Advocates & Solicitors.
