This report provides a snapshot of 70 years of the diplomatic and economic relations between India and Japan. It provides a brief comparison between India and other ASEAN countries in relation to the advantages offered by India to foreign investors. This report also deals with the opportunities available for Japanese SMEs in India including the initiatives taken by the governments of both these countries in this regard and the regulatory and policy framework for Japanese SMEs in India.
